Barbara Joan Smart Coldiron went home to heaven on Feb 6, 2019. She was born April 16, 1937 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Barbara loved to roller skate and entertain. She won Bill Riley talent shows twirling baton and singing. Barbara also taught ballroom dancing at Arthur Murray Studios. She owned King Tuts, Urban Night and several other bars and restaurants. Barbara enjoyed cooking, and catered many events. She was an avid bowler, did crafts, and performed as Cupcakes the Clown. Barbara loved to laugh and loved animals. And she had a soft spot for people who were down on their luck. But her greatest joy was her family! She was a breast cancer and lung cancer survivor.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Julia Barton, her husband Bob, and her son Patrick. She was a mother and grandmother to many. She is survived by her son Mark (Cheryl) Camos of Johnston; daughters Melody (Ray) Krejci of Urbandale and Michele (Thor) Donovan of Urbandale; grandchildren Shane Kueck, Casie (Kole) Kueck, Ashley (Jake) Cummings, Josh (Janel) Camos, Devon (Keiry) Krejci, Mykala Krejci, Sydney Krejci, & Hayden Donovan; great grandchildren Mackenzie, Olivia, Joella, Kallen, Koda, & baby Rivas.
