L. Nadine Nagle, 88, was born Louise Nadine Paris in Fraser, IA on October 18, 1929. She passed away peacefully on January 23, 2018 at Kavanagh House in Des Moines, IA. She graduated valedictorian from Pilot Mound High School in 1948 and moved to Des Moines to attend Beauty School. She was married to Harry Nagle and later divorced. She had many different jobs while her family was growing up, from beauty shops to gas stations. She retired from Bank of America, starting there when it was Central National Bank and was there through many name changes, she was a teller and worked in the cash vault. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was known as someone that always welcomed others into her home and life. She enjoyed telling jokes. Many may not know that she enjoyed writing poetry. She was known for her many earrings that she had and wore often. She enjoyed many cruises with friends. Many of her friends knew her as MOM. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Deb (Mike) Wityk of Redfield; Janine (David) Frettim of Stuart; Dave Nagle of Carlisle; John Nagle of Des Moines; Pam Smith (niece/daughter) of Des Moines. Grandchildren: Michelle (David) Kane, Michael (Jessica) Wityk, Monica (Justin) Strange, Miranda (Casey) Reynolds, Matthew Wityk, Daniel (Beth) Frettim, Joshua (Tiffany) Frettim, Jessica Rawson, and Crystal Soper; 17 great-grandchildren. Sister Irene Mayse, brothers-in-law Augie Knudsen, Larry Coe and sister-in-law Colleen Mayse; Bestest life long friend Pat Cassotti; many nieces and nephews and very special friends.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Freda Coe, Jane Knudsen, Margie Bragg, Evelyn Smith; brother John Mayse; and great-grandson Blake Frettim, plus many other family and friends. Memorials may be made to American Parkinson's Disease Association Iowa Chapter or Camp Fire Girls & Boys, as requested by Nadine.
