Obituary

Steven Mark Duple, 63, of Fort Dodge, Iowa died in the early morning hours at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday, March 10,, 2017 surrounded by his four loving children.
The last of three siblings born to Marjorie (Lawson) Duple and Mark Steven Duple on September 14, 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas, Steve was an accomplished musician and drummer, hard-working salesman, and devoted father and grandfather with a witty sense of humor and an unshakeable resolve. He enjoyed political debate, spending time with his growing family, and a good dirty joke.
Steve is survived by his son, Phillip (Robin) Duple of Columbia, MO; daughters, Meagan Wrecsics of Greene, IA, Anna (Daniel) Acheson of Ankeny, IA, and Claire (Brian) Marsh of Waukee, IA; five grandchildren, Abigail, Emmeliene, and Jacob Wrecsics, Nora Duple, and Ezra Acheson; mother, Marjorie Duple of Reeds Spring, MO; and sisters, Cheryl (Art) McElroy of Eagan, MN, and Paula Duple of Reeds Spring, MO. He was preceded in death by his father, Mark.
A private ceremony, memorial garden internment, and spreading of the ashes as directed by Steve will be held by the family at a later date. Condolences and memorial contributions may be sent to the grieving family at 520 N 1st Street, Greene, IA 50636, in the care of daughter, Meagan. Gifts can also be made on behalf of the family to Taylor House Hospice of Des Moines, IA where Steve received care and comfort in his final days.
